The Kildare Animal Foundation Wildlife Unit in Ireland is home to various rescue animals and provides vital medical care for those in need; nevertheless, they did not anticipate a young rabbit and a pigeon to look after one other.
The young rabbit was discovered by members of the charity as an orphaned infant with a precarious condition that required medical attention.
After then, a pigeon that had been rescued from an abandoned nest arrived. Both of the cuties needed to be inside the incubator, and because there was only one, they had to share it, separated by a little wall.
Surprisingly, however! When the vet in charge of these two went to check on them, she noticed that the rabbit and the pigeon had tore down the little wall to hug, and their condition appeared to have improved!
They’ve both recovered well and remain the best of friends, sharing and playing until they’re strong enough to be released back into the wild.
