Actress Margot Robbie appeared upset just hours after leaving the home of her close friend Cara Delevingne – as the British supermodel continues to spark health concerns with a series of disheveled public appearances.
The Oscar-nominated star was seen struggling to contain her emotions after leaving a rented home in West Hollywood to travel to Los Angeles International airport around 5pm
Earlier, Robbie, 32, had been spotted leaving Delevingne’s $7m West Hollywood house on Monday around 1pm – two hours after Delevingne’s socialite sister Poppy had also been seen exiting in a black SUV.
It’s not clear if Delevingne was at home when Robbie was there.
Delevingne failed to show in NYC on Monday for the launch of her fashion collection honoring late designer Karl Lagerfeld held at chic restaurant Saga in the Big Apple’s Financial District.
Nor was Delevingne present at the Emmy Awards, alongside her fellow Only Murders in the Building stars.
These distressing pictures come one week after the one-time ‘it girl’ drew concern from her devoted fans by appearing erratic and out of sorts at Van Nuys Airport.
Robbie could be seen holding her hand up to her face, and appeared to be emotional. Further details of what happened inside the property have not emerged.
Delevingne’s loved ones have also reportedly voiced worries and considered a possible intervention, and Robbie’s visit could be another sign that the model’s friends and family are ready and willing to offer support.
Robbie was carrying a small piece of rolling luggage and what appeared to be a plastic bag full of toiletries or medication. The I, Tonya star appeared to struggle to compose herself as she left the home.
The Australian actress held a hand to her face and patted her hair into place as she met with a chauffer waiting outside.
After loading into a waiting SUV, Robbie made a brief stop at another home in West Hollywood before heading to catch a flight at Los Angeles International Airport, where she checked in for a flight using the discreet ‘private suites’ facility.
Like her sister, Poppy has been largely quiet on social media as of late. However on Monday night, Poppy posted a message of congratulations to her friend Zendaya following the actress’s Emmy win.
Robbie and Delevingne are longtime friends, and co-starred in the 2016 film Suicide Squad.
Last month, Delevingne invited Robbie to celebrate her 30th birthday on a lavish yacht trip off Formentera, Spain.
Photos from the August birthday party in Spain showed a light-hearted celebration, with Delevingne eating frosting directly from a bowl, and playfully trying to smear it on her friends.
A friend who saw her in Ibiza observes: ‘She was more messy out there than she had been in a while but says she is OK, fine about turning 30 and having a great time.
‘She will think that the pictures are funny — she doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with the way she is living her life and says she is absolutely fine.’
But in the weeks since, fans have expressed growing concern after the model was seen sitting alone in a car smoking a pipe of some kind, and then behaving oddly before boarding Jay-Z’s private jet at Van Nuys.
Delevingne made her latest worrying appearance on September 6 in Los Angeles, appearing disheveled and jittery prior to boarding Jay-Z’s private jet.
According to DailyMail.com sources, the cover girl appeared unable to control her body movements at certain points as she was seen on the phone, bending over, dropping her phone, and walking around looking very jittery and as if she was unable to stop moving.
For reasons that are unclear, she boarded the jet, before she disembarked 45 minutes later, and was driven away from the airport with her luggage and wearing only socks on her feet.
Recently, Delevingne was known to spend some time at the Burning Man festival. Sources told DailyMail.com at that time the she didn’t eat or shower while at the event.
The source said: ‘She had just spent days in the desert, not eating all that much and she looked disheveled because she hadn’t had time to scrub up yet.’
Now, her friends and family are searching for ways to help the troubled former ‘it girl.’
‘We are all incredibly concerned. The situation has been building for a few weeks now, and Cara’s family is involved,’ a close friend told The Sun last week.
‘There is talk of staging some kind of intervention and making sure Cara gets the help she may well need,’ the person added. ‘She has been burning the candle at both ends of late, and it’s clearly taking its toll.’
Delevingne’s parents, the wealthy property developer Charles Delevingne and his wife Pandora live in England. The model also has three siblings, including socialite Poppy Delevingne.
At New York Fashion Week on Monday, Delevingne was notably absent from the launch party for her own collection, dubbed CARA LOVES KARL, a collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic fashion house
The British model who recently lauded Lagerfeld as one of the major influences on her career, was nowhere in sight as the sustainable collection of inclusive clothing and accessories was celebrated by a guest list of stars from fashion, film and music.
Delevingne’s absence from her own event was all the more curious by virtue of her very obvious presence on social media, where she paid tribute to the legendary designer on Monday evening while guests filed into the New York venue.
Reposting the collection’s promotional video, she wrote on Instagram: ‘Happy belated birthday @karllagerfeld. What an honor that the #CaraLovesKarl collection is now available! I’m so proud of it.’
Many of her Instagram followers responded to the post with expressions of worry and concern for her well-being.
Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019 aged 85 from complications related to pancreatic cancer, would have celebrated his birthday on September 10, two days before the official launch.
Recently, Delevingne spent some time at the Burning Man festival at Black Rock desert in Nevada. Sources told DailyMail.com at that time the she didn’t eat or shower while at the event.
The source said: ‘She had just spent days in the desert, not eating all that much and she looked disheveled because she hadn’t had time to scrub up yet.’
He went on: ‘Her friends are worried about her generally after some erratic behavior, but she has a good group around her. Her sister was at the festival with her. She wasn’t alone and she has her back.’
The source continued: ‘Burning Man isn’t lined with burger vans like other festivals. You chuck everything you need in an RV and that’s what you have to live on while you’re there. Everything works on a swapping system.’
