Neymar, Floyd Mayweather, LeBron James and Eugenie Bouchard show off bone-chilling Halloween costumes

Other big names from the world of sport including Steph Curry and Jerome Boateng got in on the act with some incredible costumes

THE SCARIEST day of the year is upon us once again and sports stars from around the world have got into the Halloween spirit with some truly chilling fancy dress.

Top award must go to Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James with his incredible transformation into Stephen King’s killer clown IT.

It’s all there – the sinister smile, the abnormally large forehead and even the creepy red balloons.

Perhaps the only giveaway to his identity was the fact the 6ft 8ins small forward had to crouch down for the photo.

Equally freaky was Floyd Mayweather striking a pose as evil genius the Riddler from Batman.

The retired boxer with the 50-0 record looked slightly dressed down from his normal outlandish attire.

But he pulled out all the stops – complete with the question mark suit and purple gloves – to show his 19.4million Instagram followers how seriously he takes Halloween.

Prior to that Mayweather dressed up as Achilles from Troy – or Maximus from Gladiator – and Sylvester the cat.

Golden State Warriors star man Steph Curry pulled out all the stops as Jigsaw from the Saw films, even riding the tricycle.

While not strictly Halloween, Eugenie Bouchard looked incredible in a Baywatch-inspired red swimsuit.

And fellow blonde Paige Spiranac dressed up her dog as a pirate, which, oddly, really seemed to suit the mutt.

World’s most expensive footballer Neymar is no stranger to garish hairstyles but he joined the fun by dying his barnet green.

And Bayern Munich Jerome Boateng looked brilliant with his skull facepaint and smart suit.
