Ariana Grande is known as a talented artist, she soon became known as a reality TV star. After that, when encroaching on music, her name became more and more popular and spread to many regions around the world.

With catchy hits like  “Problem”, “Bang Bang”, “Love Me Harder”, “Focus on”, “Dangerous Women “, etc., Ariana Grande has gradually won major music awards. The female singer also soon conducted a world tour and achieved great success. However, with many talents, there are also many defects, besides being famous and having many people interested in watching, she many times became a thorn in the public eye because of a series of scandals in her career.

Accordingly, she said: “Dear friends in Vietnam, from the bottom of my heart I sincerely apologize to you for some of the health problems that I am currently facing. I came to Vietnam with enthusiasm to perform but the doctor did not allow me to perform the stage tonight. I am extremely sorry and sorry. Nothing makes me feel more embarrassed than having to announce this, but I promise to make it up to you guys in the future. I love you and thank you for understanding.”

The event of canceling the show suddenly sounded like a “lightning strike” that made fans feel shocked. And it wouldn’t be controversial if she didn’t use the unique method of canceling the show like the Instagram story, a kind of “short message” that disappears after 24 hours.

Many fans think that her method of canceling the show is not formal – even superficial and somewhat looks down on the Vietnamese audience.

While for Thai and Filipino audiences, the female singer always expressed her affection and respectfully thanked the audience after completing the tour, but for Vietnamese fans, there was “discrimination”.

Appeared unprofessionally on tour in Korea

Before Vietnam, Ariana Grande used to be “expensive” to the Kimchi audience because of her lack of professionalism when appearing on the  Dangerous Women tour.

Accordingly, her schedule is to appear in Japan from August 10-13 and be in Korea on August 14-15 to prepare and perform officially at Gocheok Sky Stadium, Seoul.

However, Ariana’s arrival was delayed, she arrived at Kimpo airport at 17 o’clock, the time is close to only 3 hours from the concert, and the reason to explain this is… “to avoid the press”.

Korean fans – who were tired of waiting for the pop star at the airport – felt sad and angry at Ariana’s tardiness.

On the part of fans who bought expensive VIP tickets, they were unable to watch the rehearsal as originally planned, and the Meet & Greet meeting  was also delayed and shortened. Those who spent 650,000 KRW (about 570 USD) on VIP tickets at that time immediately demanded a refund. Others also criticized Ariana for her rude, unprofessional behavior.

Things took a turn for the worse when Ariana shared a video via her Instagram . She happily sang in the bathroom just an hour before the concert and the sight of humming in the small space made the audience nervous – “Is this  your ‘serious’ rehearsal?”.

After that, the pop star finished her stage and she hastily left the country of Hanbok. The unprofessional action that took place in a row caused great discontent among the Korean fan community, many people left comments as follows: “Don’t come for us anymore”, “She went to Japan to travel to Japan”  . but left Korea immediately after her concert”, “This singer has such a terrible personality”, “How disappointing she deceives the Korean fans”, “I guess she came here just to make money”, “Korea is just a stop for her”…

I’m an American citizen but I hate Americans and America

One of Ariana Grande’s most notable scandals is her unethical behavior when carelessly licking donuts at a store and bluntly declaring: ”  I hate America” .

Although the incident has been around for a long time, when it comes to Ariana, no one is impressed by this in her. Even when the foreign media reported that the singer canceled the show in Vietnam, a series of comments from netizens were still directed at her to “count” the love and hate story of America.

In July 2015, the singer Into you  and her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez were present at a bakery in California. While the staff didn’t notice, the two secretly licked the donuts and spit on it and carelessly bought other cakes that had just come out of the oven.

This unethical behavior of the two was discovered when the bakery owner checked the security camera. It is worth mentioning that through the recorded images, her saliva cake continues to be sold to other customers.

It seemed that everything stopped there, but many people watching the video attentively recognized the Everyday’s vocalist  shouting: “What the hell is this? I hate Americans. I hate America.” 

Only a couple of short sentences, but Ariana officially created a “storm of anger” for a large number of American citizens. Because, as a person born and raised here, she is even an artist who lives by the image in the public eye, but she has unexpected “strong” statements.

Despite apologizing later, this statement is still considered a flaw in Ariana Grande’s career and because of it, the White House announced the cancellation of the singer’s concert in July 2016.
