LIVERPOOL fans nearly spat out their saveloys when star man Mo Salah rocked up to a chippy in Merseyside.

The Egyptian stunned staff when he walked through the door at Panny’s Place Fish and Chip shop.

The 25-year-old, who has scored an incredible 30 goals in all competitions this season, was caught on camera by one of the staff behind the counter at the Liverpool takeaway.

It is thought that he was there to film part of an advert for Egyptian TV.

In footage posted on social media the worker even joked that Salah still had to pay for the meal before one fan managed to grab a personal message on his mobile phone.

Salah was also spotted at The Park Pub and Derry Mathews boxing academy.

Roma director of sport Monchi, who joined from Sevilla last April, said: “I still think the price could’ve been better for Salah, but it did give us the possibility of making other moves.

“When I arrived, the Liverpool offer for Salah was €32m plus €3m in bonuses. In today’s football, players go wherever they want to.

“At the end of the day, we could reach €50m with bonuses, but at that moment we had to sell and that was an important option.”
