One Piece: 9 New Devil Fruits Introduced In The Egghead Arc

Egghead Island saw the introduction of many new Devil Fruits, especially from Blackbeard’s crew.

One Piece marked the end of the Wano Country arc in 2022 and finally started a new chapter with the Egghead arc. With the beginning of the Egghead arc, the story also entered its Final Saga and here, the events of the One Piece world are getting more tumultuous than ever before.

Stronger characters are finally making their moves and the biggest of villains are also having their identities revealed. In the midst of this all, new powers are being revealed to the fans as well and Devil Fruits, being a major power source in the story, have also had many of their types thrown into the mix in the recent chapters. With the vast majority being Paramecia so far, the Egghead arc has already delivered some mighty Devil Fruits to the fans.

9. Shima Shima no Mi

Eaten by the 4th ship captain of the Blackbeard pirates, the Shima Shima no Mi is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit currently in possession of Avalo Pizarro.

This Devil Fruit is extremely overpowered as it allows Pizzaro to assimilate with an island itself and become one with it. Pizarro can control the entire island and feel everything on it with rather ease. During the invasion of Hachinosu in the Egghead arc, Pizarro was seen in control of the Pirate Island which he took control of using this Devil Fruit power.

8. Deka Deka no Mi

The Deka Deka no Mi is another Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that belongs to a member of the Blackbeard Pirates. This Devil Fruit was eaten by San Juan Wolf, who is also known as the Battleship and is the Seventh Ship Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates.

Wolf is actually a giant from Elbaf, and he already towers over the vast majority in the story. However, after having eaten this Devil Fruit, he has grown in size even further. The Deka Deka no Mi is a fruit that increases the size of the user who eats it. Currently, it is believed that San Juan Wolf can grow up to 180 m in size, however, the limit might actually be even beyond that.

7. Gabu Gabu no Mi

The Gabu Gabu no Mi is also a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit and, once again, a fruit eaten by a Blackbeard pirate. This Devil Fruit belongs to Vasco Shot, the Eighth Ship Captain of the Blackbeard crew.

The powers of this fruit have not been revealed so far, however, based on the abilities that Vasco Shot possesses, it is easy to figure out that they are centered around producing alcohol and igniting it in battle.

6. Shiku Shiku no Mi

Eaten by the 9th Ship Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, Doc Q, the Shiku Shiku no Mi is also a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit. This fruit allows him to create various types of diseases and spread them among people.

He can also use exploding apples, however, it is highly unlikely that this power of his is related to his Devil Fruit. So far, he has only been seen creating one disease and that is to turn anyone into a woman. His diseases can be broken through with a strong enough Haki.

5. Wapu Wapu no Mi

The Wapu Wapu no Mi is also a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit and this one was eaten by the Captain of the Third Ship of the Blackbeard crew, Van Augur. This fruit allows Van Augur to teleport to nearby locations as well as teleport anyone close to him to a specific location as well.

The limits of this Devil Fruit have not been revealed so far, however, it is likely for the limit to be as far as the eye can see. This fruit was seen being used in the fight between the Blackbeard Pirates and the Heart Pirates on Winner Island in the Egghead arc.

4. Riki Riki no Mi

Eaten by the First Ship Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, Jesus Burgess, the Riki Riki no Mi is also a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit. This fruit was eaten by Burgess at some point after the events of the Dressrosa arc. It grants him a tremendous amount of physical strength and, given the fact that he was already a brawler and excelled at hand-to-hand combat, it has made him extremely powerful.

In the Egghead arc, on Winner Island, he was seen casually lifting a giant mountain and hurling it at his enemies. The limits to his strength have not been revealed yet, however, they are likely to be very high if he can casually lift a mountain as was shown in his fight against the Heart Pirates.

3. Gunyo Gunyo no Mi

The Gunyo Gunyo no Mi is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit eaten by Prince Grus, a Lieutenant of the Marine faction, SWORD. This Devil Fruit allows him to produce a gooey substance from his body and shape it however he likes. He was seen using this power to create Naval soldiers who other pirates have mistaken for Logia Devil Fruit users.

His fruit power is such that he can easily use this gooey substance to attack as well as defend, he can also use it in supplementary ways such as creating an army of soldiers for himself and arming them with weapons as well. This is one of the most versatile Devil Fruits to be introduced in the Egghead arc.

2. Muchi Muchi no Mi

Another powerful Devil Fruit introduced in the Egghead arc is the Muchi Muchi no Mi. This fruit belongs to the granddaughter of the legendary Tsuru of the Marines, Kujaku. The Muchi Muchi no Mi is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that allows Kujaku to turn anything that she touches into a whip.

Furthermore, anything that she whips is then forced to obey her commands. This power doesn’t just apply to living beings, such as humans or animals. In fact, this also extends to inanimate objects, such as buildings. When ordered to move, even inanimate objects will obey and, thus, this fruit holds tremendous power.

1. Nomi Nomi no Mi

The Nomi Nomi no Mi is, perhaps, the most important Devil Fruit that was introduced to the fans in the Egghead arc. This fruit is also a Paramecia type that belongs to none other than the greatest mind in the world, Dr. Vegapunk. The Nomi Nomi no Mi has given Vegapunk an infinite capacity to store information.

As long as Vegapunk gains new knowledge, his brain continues to grow. In fact, the more knowledge he gains, the bigger his head gets and, by the time of the Ohara incident, his brain was already towering over his head. Eventually, it got so big that he had to snip it and it currently floats above the Egghead Island as Punk Records.
