The images show a snake hanging from the gutter of a woman’s home in Agnes Waters, Queensland, eating the head of a parrot. The photos were taken by the home’s owner and sent to Stuart McKenzie, a snake keeper, who then posted them online.

Mr. McKenzie says that carpet pythons, which can grow up to three meters long, often feed on small animals and third parties. They are opportunists and ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ any third party that lands too much ᴄʟᴏsᴇ for them.
