Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood has emerged as a potential transfer target for Serie A giants AC Milan.
Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is reportedly a transfer target for AC Milan. The Serie A giants are said to admire the 21-year-old for his ‘technical ability’, at a time when his Old Trafford future is up in the air. And with Erik ten Hag having interest in Rafael Leao, a swap deal could be there to be done.
Greenwood hasn’t played for United since a dramatic 1-0 victory over West Ham in January last year.
And it emerged on Saturday that the forward was potentially looking at playing abroad, with the youngster keen to continue his footballing career.
United still haven’t decided over what to do with Greenwood, who had charges dropped against him back in February.
But it’s feasible he’ll leave Old Trafford, with AC Milan seemingly at the front of the queue when it comes to potential suitors.
United want to reinforce their attack this summer.
And while a centre-forward, fresh midfielder and new right-back are all priorities, they could arguably do with another winger as well.
Marcus Rashford has obviously been impressive this season, with the England international bagging 28 goals across all competitions.
But Ten Hag’s wants the supporting cast to step up and, so far, they continue to be far too inconsistent for the 53-year-old’s liking.
Jadon Sancho has struggled for consistency ever since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund back in the summer transfer window of 2021.
Antony has blown hot and cold ever since touching down from Ajax last year.
