She’s known to the world as a blonde bombshell and force of a nature within Hollywood.
But on Friday Margot Robbie, 32, shocked fans by revealing she used to be a ‘kinda goth,’ and still has a love for heavy metal music.
The Oscar nominated Australian actress said she would even go so far as to dye her trademark long locks black and cut them with razor blades.
Chatting to Graham Norton on his BBC chat show, the starlet, 32, was reluctant to call her teenage self a ‘full on goth’ but did say she went through a emo stage.
She said: ”I wouldn’t say it was full goth, but very emo’.
The Barbie star was quizzed on her musical taste by Australian actress and fellow chat show guest Cate Blanchett, who questioned whether anyone ‘really’ likes heavy metal.
Margot responded: ‘I genuinely liked it and still do.’
The former Neighbours star, who played Donna Friedman in the series, added she used to attend heavy-metal legend Slipknot concerts, and was surprised by how often she would get approached by fans of the show there.
She said: ‘There’s a [strong] cross section between Slipknot and Neighbours fan – I never had more people come up to me than when I was at a Slipknot concert.’
‘They were worried about the characters, and would ask if so-and-so’s baby was doing okay – they were genuinely invested in both Slipknot and Neighbours’.
While the I, Tonya actress still enjoys her goth day era music, she seems to have thankfully ditched the box-dye black hair for good, in time for her starring role in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’.
Margot plays the eponymous and iconic doll and stars alongside Rylan Gosling, Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey. The film is set to come out later this year.
The star can currently be seen in the film Babylon, set in 1920s Hollywood, known as its golden age. The film recently had its UK premiere where the gorgeous Aussie stunned in a scarlet Valentino gown.
Her goth days were not the only secret the star let slip during the time on Friday’s Graham Norton show, as she also revealed her favourite thing about England’s capital city.
