“Aquaman’s trying to do the best he can… clean up the oceans, clean up the lands.”
Aquaman actor Jason Momoa shaved his beard and the internet has a lot to say.
Momoa captured himself getting rid of his facial har in a YouTube video to bring attention to his new line of canned water, intended to reduce waste caused by plastic bottles. According to Momoa, the last time he shaved was in 2012.
“I just want to do this to bring awareness that plastics are killing our planet, and I think I have a solution,” said Momoa. “There’s only one thing that can really help our planet and save our planet, as long as we recycle, and that’s aluminum. About 75 percent of all aluminum that’s ever been used is still in circulation today, and it’s 100 percent recyclable.”
Naturally, the internet was surprised by Momoa shaving what has become one of his most recognizable features. Some are sad the beard is gone, some admit that he still looks quite attractive without one, but most are happy that he has a positive message to go along with shaving it.
