Everything We Know About Joker 2
Joker: Folie à Deux, which translates to “madness of two,” focuses on Arthur’s life after the events of the 2019 installment. With the introduction of Lady Gaga as Harley, the Elseworld story will tell a new tale of their dynamic. While Arkham Asylum is involved, it’s unclear if Harley’s traditional role is being kept for the story. There have been rumblings that Harley may be a fellow Arkham patient.
Outside of Arthur, Zazie Beetz is the only returning Joker cast member announced so far, reprising the role of Sophie Dumond. Joker: Folie à Deux has tapped several new cast members in undisclosed roles. The list includes Harry Lawtey, Jacob Lofland, Brendan Gleeson, and Catherine Keener. The Batman villain Harvey Dent has also been referenced through banners in set photos. It’s unknown yet if Harvey will have an actual role in the film.
Since filming has wrapped, the first Joker: Folie à Deux trailer will likely drop in a few months. Whether the studio releases it online or during a major media event remains to be seen. Nevertheless, with everything that’s known about Joker: Folie à Deux, the musical sequel is looking incredibly promising.
