She oozed confidence while seducing her on-screen lover, Leonardo DiCaprio, in The Wolf of Wall Street.
But Margot Robbie was admittedly shy while having to watch her own sex scenes in the film, alongside her family.
The 26-year-old Suicide Squad actress, who played Naomi Lapaglia in the Martin Scorsese drama, recently recalled the awkward moment that she watched her famous ‘spread-eagle’ scene with her brother.
‘It was a bit odd, we had a screening… I didn’t really think it through and suddenly I was sitting there,’ she told Sunday Night.
‘And after the screening, It was cool with most family members, but afterwards [my older brother Lachlan] and I had the most awkward conversation ever.
‘He tried to say congratulations, and we tried to hug it out, and it was just so weird that I said, ‘OK, we don’t have to talk for a couple of days now’ … And then we never spoke of it again!’
The casting marked Margot’s breakout role as she catapulted to international stardom in 2013, however, landing the role was not easy.
The Queensland native, who is dating assistant film director Tom Ackerley, showed up to her audition in jeans and a shirt and was forced to change into skimpy attire as part of the character.
‘The casting director took one look at me and said, ‘Go down the street and buy the tightest dress and highest heels you can find. That is Naomi,” she told W magazine.
‘I came back dressed like that and read for Marty [Scorsese] and Leo. Those heels were killing me, which is what I remembered most.’ she added.
Filming the movie was also an interesting process for the Tarzan star as she found herself so consumed by her character that at one point, she became aggressive with Leo.
‘I got a bit caught up in the moment and it wasn’t scripted but I was screaming at him and then I hit him in the face instead of just saying a line,’ she recalled.
‘As soon as I did that I was swiftly taken out of the scene and thought, ‘Oh my gosh, what have you just done?’ … But they were like, ‘That is great, you should do that again.”
