Dwayne Johnson is a well-known name across the globe. He has successfully established his career in both fields of wrestling as well as acting. Johnson began his career as a pro wrestler named The Rock and gained public attention with his performance in the WWE. He subsequently shifted his focus to acting and has been featured in several commercial hit movies like Central Intelligence, Baywatch, the Jumanji series, the Fast & Furious franchise, and more. The Fast & Furious franchise is indeed the most famous delivery by Johnson. Everyone is pretty much aware of The Rock’s exit from the franchise, but he still acknowledges the franchise in the sweetest way.

The Rock debuted in the Fast & Furious franchise in the year 2011 with the movie Fast Five. He played the role of Luke Hobbs, a United States Diplomatic Service Security Agent, and a bounty hunter. Though Johnson’s character was loved by the audience, the star bid farewell to the series because of his feud with lead actor Vin Diesel. Johnson went online to express his dissatisfaction with Diesel while shooting the eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. Though The Rock didn’t mention any name while revealing his frustration on Instagram, it was pretty obvious for the audience to guess the name – Vin Diesel.
“My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a*ses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling—you’re right.”
He further added,
“Bottom line is it’ll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that’s embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on FAST 8 and I’ll finish strong.”

Despite making an angry exit from the blockbuster franchise, Dwayne Johnson never hesitated in expressing his support for the series. Johnson even named his dog after his Fast & Furious character. Rather than cutting his ties with the franchise completely, he took a step forward to acknowledge its goodness by naming his dog, Hobbs. In a recent interview, the Central Intelligence star shared his love for his pet dogs, which has melted the heart of the internet. The Rock has two French Bulldogs, named Turbo and Hobbs.
Hobbs is already a star, as he has been featured in the 2019 movie, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The Baywatch star proudly adopted Hobbs in 2016 and has remained close to him ever since.
