Blackpink is currently on the Asian leg of their Born Pink tour, and they have recently resumed shows after a well-deserved month off.
While live shows are meticulously rehearsed in the months, days, and hours leading up to the performance, the “live” element means that you can’t always predict what will happen on stage.
Those candid moments often create lasting and entertaining memories for fans, and the Born Pink tour has had no shortage of these iconic moments.
During Blackpink’s Houston Born Pink show, Jennie went viral after her skirt blew in the wind, creating a moment that mirrored Marilyn Monroe‘s iconic “flying skirt scene” from the classic film The Seven Year Itch.

Five months after the Houston show, the “Marilyn Monroe” moment happened again; this time, her fellow members had completely different reactions.
Blackpink recently completed their first of two Born Pink shows in Jakarta, Indonesia.
During the first night, when the members were talking with BLINKs, Jennie’s skirt again got caught in the wind. As Jennie and the crowd reacted, Lisa jumped into action.
While Lisa initially appears to run over with the intention of covering Jennie, she instead motions for Jennie to re-create the moment, with Rosé joining the encouragement by hilariously saying they needed the wind to come back.
Rosé then gives Jennie the new nickname of “Marilyn Jennie” as the members couldn’t get over the hilarious moment.
The members all joined in, re-creating the iconic film scene together.
Blackpink always knows how to give an incredible performance while still having fun, but they also know how to navigate high-stress moments professionally. This was seen when Rosé suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the same show.
