Robbie and Ackerley met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française in France, and tied the knot three years later.
Robbie recently opened up about the similarities between herself and her character Nellie LaRoy in the movie Babylon.
The actress said both she and her character are highly-driven women determined to make it big in showbusiness.
‘I definitely relate to Nellie’s drive. She’s hell-bent on making it in Hollywood,’ Margot told The Australian.
She added: ‘When you get to Hollywood, there are so many people wanting the same thing. You just need to want it more than everyone else.’
Margot added that, like Nellie, she was determined to get her ‘foot in the door’ and did everything she could to make it happen.
Margot started her career as Donna Freedman in Neighbours before getting her big break opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street.
