Blackpink‘s Lisa is one of the most popular “dance machines” of the K-Pop industry. Famous for her beauty, charm, and talent, the Thai idol is looked up to by millions of people around the world. But how did it all start?
The “LALISA” singer shared her story in a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR SG. She was asked, “What is your first memory of music and when did you know you wanted to be a musician?”
According to Lisa, she distinctly recalls how her love for dancing and K-Pop began. It was when she watched a K-Pop idol perform in Thailand. The idol’s powerful performance and energy captivated her so much that she vowed to debut as well.
With grit and determination, she learned how to dance. She eventually auditioned for YG Entertainment, passed, and moved to Korea. The rest is history!
“I remember the moment I first fell in love with dance—the first time I watched a K-pop idol perform in Thailand is still vivid in my mind. Captivated by the powerful performance and its energy, I decided to learn how to dance and pursue my dream of being a singer.”
As for her love for music, it naturally grew once she started exploring new dance genres. It helped her realize that she “was totally fascinated by music and dancing.” It may have been years since she first started her journey, but her passion for music and dance is still clear as day!
“As I learned and explored different dance genres, I naturally grew interested in music, which made me realise that I was totally fascinated by music and dancing.”
