Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City is one of the Premier League’s major talking points ahead of next season.
The 21-year-old sensation landed at Manchester Airport on Tuesday to finalise formalities ahead of his £51million move from Borussia Dortmund after months of speculation. And it only made sense that he arrived in style.
Ahead of his highly-anticipated arrival in his country of birth, Haaland opted to board a private plane owned by VistaJet directly from Barcelona in the afternoon. Having been flown out on the airline’s 9H-ILV jet, the Norwegian ace would have enjoyed a spectacular journey on-board the luxurious aircraft.
City’s latest superstar had access to three divan seats and even his own cabin crew during the flight. The Challenger 850 model jet includes five beds and another two sleeping spaces where its 14 passengers can enjoy maximum comfort.
It is regarded one of the largest, most productive and comfortable corporate cabins available. Made in 2008, 9H-ILV also has various other features expected of any jet used by a millionaire footballer, such as wi-fi and TV monitors.

Haaland has previously used the same private jet company, most notably to fly out to the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix in 2021. The Norwegian goal-machine even uploaded a snap of himself on-board the aircraft on Instagram, where he could be seen donning a £1,200 Dolce & Gabbana tracksuit.
Yet he is not the only elite-level sportsman to regularly use VistaJet planes. Formula One team Scuderia Ferrari have been partnered with the company for four years, agreeing another deal just last month (April 2022).
F1 2022 championship hopeful Charles Leclerc and his teammate Carlos Sainz regularly use the private aircraft as they travel around the world in luxury to race across four continents.

VistaJet recently commented on the partnership: “With the ever-demanding race calendar and often only days between Grands Prix, the team faces challenging timelines.
“In a sport where speed and efficiency are fundamental, VistaJet will support Ferrari in its global competition and optimise their travel and transfer times, allowing them to further utilise time off track to arrive in optimum condition.”
