Kylian Mbappe’s translated Instagram post has baffled Manchester United fans – with Marcus Rashford adding to their confusion.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker took to social media following his side’s Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich to issue a rousing message to supporters.

Mbappe came on as a second half substitute at Parc des Princes as he made his comeback from a hamstring injury, but ultimately failed to make an impact.

In an Instagram post after the match, he wrote in French: “All that remains to be done.”

However, a translation of the caption bizarrely adds in, ‘Manchester United’s team is now on PSG,’ which has left fans of Erik ten Hag’s side wondering.

talkSPORT revealed earlier in the week how a Qatari consortium were confident of buying United, which has the support from the Emir of Qatar.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has close links with PSG, with his organisation Qatar Sports Investment buying the Ligue 1 leaders in 2011.

And the country’s sovereign wealth fund – the Qatar Investment Authority – now look set to make an offer to purchase United from the Glazer family.

With Mbappe’s Instagram post mentioning the two clubs, fans have speculated as to what it could mean – especially after Rashford commented with a fire emoji.

One United supporter messaged: “Bring him to United bro. Agent Marcus.”

Another said: “Welcome Mbappe to Manchester United.”

A third added: “The translation is confusing everyone.”

This supporter remarked: “Is this about the PSG owners biding for United?”

Meanwhile one simply stated: “Welcome to Manchester United! Qatar effect?”

Another confused fan said: “Bro what do you mean by Manchester united on PSG?”

It remains to be seen what Mbappe meant by the post, though it seems unlikely that he would comment on any potential takeover move regarding United.
