“You’re not the one with the hammer”: Ant-Man 3 Teases Kang’s Terrifying Move After Hinting Marvel’s Next Thanos Killed Chris Hemsworth’s Thor

Marvel is all set to usher in the next phase of the MCU with the upcoming film, Ant-Man 3. The threequel to the 2015 film will follow Ant-Man, the Wasp, and others into the quantum realm. The film is just a few weeks away from release. And after a disappointing phase 4 of the cinematic universe, fans are hoping to see something better in the next phase. As the release date of the film nears, the studio has released an official clip from Quantumania.

The new clip gives a look at a conversation between Kang the Conqueror and Ant-Man. And the conversation gives a direct reference to Avengers and especially to the God of Thunder, Thor.

Ant-Man 3 Clip References The Avengers

Marvel Studios recently released a new clip from the upcoming film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The threequel will introduce the new supervillain of the MCU, Kang the Conqueror. The clip gives a look at what seems like the first interaction between Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Kang the Conqueror.

The short clip from Ant-Man 3 starts with Jonathan Majors entering the frame with his mask on. As he comes toward the Ant-Man, he says, “You’re an interesting man, Scott Lang.” The scene has also been represented in the trailer of the film.

Cassie is also present in the scene, but she seems to be trapped in a cage. Ant-Man tries threatening Kang the Conqueror saying that he has made a big mistake as he is an Avenger and that he has called the other Avengers too. Kang, however, seems calm as he asks him, “You’re an Avenger. Have I Killed you before?”

He then says that all the Avengers “blur together” after some time before asking if he’s the one “with the hammer.” Ant-Man has a humorous reply to his question, saying that people often get confused due to their “similar body types.”

The Avenger with the hammer is clearly a reference to the God of Thunder portrayed by Chris Hemsworth in the MCU. While the clip gives a slight look at how humor could be involved in Ant-Man 3, it also seems to confirm that Kang the Conqueror has already killed Avengers multiple times in the multiverse.

What Could be the Deal Between Ant-Man and Kang the Conqueror?

The new Ant-Man 3 clip also features Kang the Conqueror trying to bargain with Ant-Man. When Scott Lang asks Kang who he is, Kang the Conqueror says that he is just a man who has lost a lot of time, like him. He further says, “We can help each other with that.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will have superhero team-ups

Kang seems to make an offer here to get back the time he has lost. The supervillain could be making an offer for him to get back the time he lost in exchange for helping him get out of Quantum Realm imprisonment.

He could offer the time Scott Lang has lost in the three-year imprisonment and due to the five-year time jump in Avengers: Endgame and give him a second chance to spend more time with his daughter, Cassie.

The film is yet to release, so it could be hard to assume if Ant-Man accepts the offer or not. But the trailer does seem to portray that Scott Lang could turn his back on Kang the Conqueror as he learns about his true intentions. All these questions will be answered with the release of Ant-Man 3.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to release on 17 February 2023.
