What Old Man Thor Could Look Like In The MCU Shared By Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth shares a new image revealing what Old Man Thor could look like in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in case he ages in the franchise.

Old Man Thor

Chris Hemsworth shared an image of what Old Man Thor could look like in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As one of the remaining original Avengers in the franchise, there’s a big interest in what the future could look like for the God of Thunder, especially following the death of Iron Man and the retirement of Captain America. While there seems to be no indication of ending his MCU arc anytime soon, Thor may just have to grow old in the universe.

In light of that, Hemsworth shared an image on Instagram of what Old Man Thor could look like in the MCU, offering an idea of what to expect if he indeed sticks around.

The snap is lifted from his Disney+ documentary, Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, which aims to discover the full potential of the human body. Created by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, the project got Marvel Studios nervous that the actor would hurt himself doing death-defying stunts in the show.

How Can Chris Hemsworth’s MCU Thor Get Old?

Thor: Love and Thunder: Thor (Chris Hemsworth) stands in Eternity's pool, staring at Gorr the God Butcher

After the events of Thor: Love and Thunder, there is no rush in ending the God of Thunder’s arc in the MCU. The Asgardian prince is currently 1500 years old, but he could live for far longer if he doesn’t die in battle. With both Iron Man and Captain America gone, there’s a chance that Marvel Studios is looking to keep him for as long as possible. From there, he could die a natural death like Odin did in Thor: Ragnarok.

Another possible way to see Old Man Thor in the MCU is through the Multiverse. As seen with the God of Mischief’s variants in Loki, they could come in all sorts of forms, race, gender, and age. If the God of Thunder gets to meet the versions of himself in other universes, he may be faced with a variant that is significantly older than him, similar to Classic Loki.

If Marvel Studios keep the original Avenger around, Thor could function as an elder statesman in the burgeoning universe, the same way Odin did. In any case, Thor: Love and Thunder already confirmed his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so for now, expect that his arc isn’t ending soon.
