Scarlett Johansson was delighted to see co-star Samuel L Jackson at Sunday’s Academy Awards.
But instead of greeting the blonde with matching enthusiasm, the 68-year-old star gave her a ‘scolding’.
‘I was excited to see Sam Jackson, but then he scolded me for not sending him enough pictures of my kid,’ a laughing Johansson told E! News.
Scarlett, who has a two year old daughter named Rose, was instantly flustered by the 68-year-old actor’s question.
‘I was like, “Honestly, here on the red carpet?” and He was like, “Where’s my picture?”‘ explained the Her actress.
It seems that sending the Pulp Fiction legend baby snapshots wasn’t the only thing Scarlett forgot.
When asked what the Star Wars actor sent the baby as a welcoming gift, the leading lady was also at a loss for an answer.
‘Oh, gosh! What did he get the baby?’ she said, ‘Don’t ask me. If I don’t remember, he’s going to get angry again. You know, you want Sam on your side!’
Sam and Scarlett have starred in four Avengers films together, playing crime-fighters Nick Fury and The Black Widow.
The actors are currently busy shooting the next film in the franchise, Avengers: Infinity War.
On the red carpet at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater, the Ghost World actress was joined by agent Joe Machota, where the New York native presented the award for Best Original Song, which went to La La Land’s City Of Stars.
It was only a month ago that the actress announced she had quietly ended her marriage to Frenchman Romain Dauriac last year.
The ad agent and Scarlett wed in 2014 and have one child.
