In the first few months of life, a new𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 is particularly sensitive to all that its sense organs transmit to it.

Just as the smell and heartbeat of the mother’s body help a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 to calm down, naturally, the voice of a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥’s parents is one of the first things 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren learn to recognize and to find reassuring.

An emotional video shows Baby Charlotte, or Charly as she’s affectionately known, go from fussing, to a smile, to almost crying as she hears her mother’s voice for the first time. Everything seemed normal when Charly was first 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧. She was a healthy 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl but it began when she did not respond to noises and voices. Upon realising this, her parents brought her for a  ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ ᴛᴇsᴛ and the results was ᴛᴇʀʀɪʙʟʏ devastating, her ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ is ɪᴍᴘᴀɪʀᴇᴅ and she needs to use ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ ᴀɪᴅs. Christy Keane said that none of her and husband’s family members have history of ɪᴍᴘᴀɪʀᴇᴅ ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ. Nevertheless, she was grateful that Charly is a beautiful and healthy 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl and being ᴅᴇᴀғ will not stop them to help Charly achieves for the best in her life.

Christy said in her Instagram:” This is sʜᴏᴄᴋɪɴɢ news, but it’s not sad news. This sweet 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 is beautiful and healthy and so capable of achieving everything she wants in life and we will make sure that happens! We didn’t think she would hear anything so this was more incredible than I can put in to words. Her journey to implants and language development is off to an amazing start!” Her mother Christy made sure this magical moment stays in their lives forever by recording it. Although Charly is still an infant, you can see how fast she gets really emotional and tries to hold back tears of joy in her eyes.
