Man Utd transfer round-up: Dortmund issue Moukoko update as Ten Hag turns down enquiry

Manchester United are edging towards completing their first signing of the January transfer window.

Dutch striker Wout Weghorst has flown over to the UK to put pen to paper on a six-month loan with the Red Devils with an agreement having been struck with his parent club Burnley and his current employers Besiktas. Once he is officially announced, attention will very quickly turn to who could potentially follow him to Old Trafford.

Dortmund issue Moukoko update

Borussia Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke has reiterated his desire to keep United target Youssoufa Moukoko at the club with just six months remaining on his current contract with the German giants.

Speaking to Sky Sports Germany, he said: “He is now trying to get a good position for himself. That is legitimate, but it is just as legitimate that we have our ideas.

“If that is no longer congruent, then the cooperation will not be continued. That is the ultimate consequence. But we hope of course he stays with us.”

United reject Lindelof enquiry

Man Utd have reportedly turned down an enquiry from Atletico Madrid for defender Victor Lindelof. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the Swede to bolster their defensive options.

They are reportedly set to allow Brazilian defender Felipe to join Wolves but want a replacement for him. Atleti reportedly approached United for Lindelof, only to see their enquiry turned down.

The Spanish side do have an alternative however in the form of Leicester star Caglar Soyuncu who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Celtic set for Juranovic interest

Celtic are reportedly waiting to see if Man Utd make a move for Croatian defender Josip Juranovic with the right-back having shone at the World Cup. The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the former Legia Warsaw star.

According to the Daily Record, the Scottish giants are aware that both Monza and Espanyol want to sign him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. However, they are prepared to wait for the Red Devils to potentially firm up their interest.

United could potentially do with a new right-back between now and the end of the window with Aaron Wan-Bissaka linked with an exit.
