A recent ᴅᴇᴀᴅly conflict between two scaly titans ended in a draw, leaving a twisted, gruesome sᴄᴇɴᴇ. King cobra, one of the combatants, was found strangled. A reticulated python, the second, had likewise expired.
The python tried to defend itself by squeezing the cobra to ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ after being bitten by it behind the head and suffering from the hooded snake’s lethal poison. It was a ʜɪᴛ. But none of the snakes survived.
According to Coleman Sheehy of the Florida Museum of Natural History, the tragic collision most likely happened someplace in Southeast Asia where the two snake species overlapped. It’s ʀɪsᴋy out there to eat other large snakes and things that could ᴋɪʟʟ you. It’s crazy, yet he could easily imagine it occurring.
Because both snakes are the best of their kind, a picture of the bodies was eventually uploaded on the Internet, as these things occasionally do. We are all aware of the ouroboros, a symbol showing a serpent eating its own tail, but who has ever seen a ᴅᴇᴀᴅ python balled up around a ᴅᴇᴀᴅ cobra? There, it rapidly caught the attention of herpetologists and other people who were astounded by the odd sight.
Despite the fact that some people doubt the authenticity of the photo, experts say there is no indication that it was edited in any way. This was an odd incident, but a lot of strange things with snakes are never easily seen.
