The reigning La Liga champions want to sign the 25-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach attacker, who reached the 2022 FIFA World Cup final with France, in a Bosman move in the summer transfer window.

Marcus Thuram has come leaps and bounds since joining Borussia Monchengladbach in July 2019 from Guingamp. The Frenchman was a promising young forward three and a half years ago. But he has been one of the most enterprising attackers in the Bundesliga during that period. At the same time, the player has also established a foothold in the French national squad.

The 25-year-old is enjoying a superb 2022/23 season, amassing 13 goals and four assists in 17 appearances thus far. Thuram also reached the FIFA World Cup 2022 final with France, who failed to beat Argentina last month. Meanwhile, the player seems set to leave Gladbach as a free agent in the summer after entering the final six months of his deal. Such a situation has alerted Real Madrid.
