Ten of the 20 Western Conference All-Star players are represented by the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors on the NBA Fans’ Vote Leaderboard.

One of the most thrilling weekends for fans is the NBA All-Star weekend. Fans eagerly anticipate the NBA All-Star weekend each season to see their favorite players compete in the NBA All-Star game and display their talents. The All-Star Game will be held in Salt Lake City this year.

Los Angeles Lakers And Golden State Warriors Have 10 Of The 20 Western Conference All-Star Players On The NBA Fans' Vote Leaderboard - Fadeaway World

While the NBA All-Star game will take place in February 2023, the first return of fan votes was recently unveiled. LeBron James and Kevin Durant led the first fan returns, and it wasn’t surprising, to be honest. After all, the two superstars have immense popularity among fans. However, there was one thing that really surprised the fans.

Lakers And Warriors Players Dominated The First Fan Vote Returns

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors are undoubtedly two of the most popular franchises in the Western Conference. But in the 2022-23 NBA season, both teams have certainly struggled to win games consistently.

It is evident from the fact that the Lakers are currently the 12th seed in the West, while the Warriors hold the 9th seed in the conference. Despite that, after the first fan vote return, 10 out of the 20 possible All-Star spots are held by players who play for either the Lakers or the Warriors.

From the Lakers, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and Austin Reaves received several votes. As for the Warriors, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, and Kevon Looney are among the top vote-getters in the West.

Despite having underwhelming records this season, the popularity of the two franchises hasn’t taken a hit. But at the same time, it makes us wonder whether a few deserving contenders to play in the NBA All-Star game are getting snubbed due to the immense popularity of the two franchises.

Either way, these are just the first fan vote returns, and things may change when the next set of fan vote returns is unveiled. But as things stand right now, the Lakers and the Warriors are dominating.
