The La Liga team of the season has been announced, and five Real Madrid players have made the cut for the selected 15 players.
The team features five defenders, with Eder Militao representing Madrid. Jules Kounde, Nahuel Molina, Alejandro Balde, and David Garcia are the other defenders in the list. Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been given the nod as the goalkeeper.
There are two Madrid midfielders in the team out of a possible five. Federico Valverde and Luka Modric make the cut, while Toni Kroos has been overlooked despite a largely impressive season.
Pedri, Mikel Merino, and Celta Vigo Gabri Veiga round off the centre of the park.
Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr are part of the attacking quadrant, with Pichichi leader Robert Lewandowski and arguably the Liga Player of the Season, Antoine Griezmann also included in the list.
