Marcus Rashford could be back in time for Manchester United’s final four games of the season after returning to training this week

Marcus Rashford hopes to be available for Manchester United‘s remaining three Premier League games and the FA Cup final against Manchester City after returning to training.

Rashford missed United’s 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday with a leg injury but was fit enough to work with the rest of the squad at Carrington on Wednesday.

The England forward has cooled off in recent weeks after a blistering run of form after the World Cup saw him score 16 goals in 17 matches.

He had found the net just twice in the last 10 games before suffering the injury, but his return will still be a huge boost to United’s push to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

United’s remaining League games are against Bournemouth, Chelsea and Fulham, before facing City in the Wembley final on June 3.

The England star trained with his team-mates before their clash with Bourneouth on Saturday

They are a point ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool with a game in hand. Scott McTominay also took part in training on Wednesday having missed nine games through injury.

McTominay’s return would be a timely lift for manager Erik ten Hag after Marcel Sabitzer was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
