Wild buffaloes are known for their strength and aggression, making them a challenging prey for lions. Despite the risks, lions will still attempt to hunt buffaloes if they become desperate for food.

Usually, lions will target young, old, or injured buffaloes in their attacks. However, in this particular instance, a young wild buffalo became the chosen target of the “lion king”.

The lions managed to defeat a young buffalo from a large herd that was grazing on grass. They proceeded to drag the buffalo’s carcass to a safer location to devour it.

However, as the lions were feasting, an uninvited guest arrived – the leader of the buffalo herd. Witnessing the brutal killing and consumption of its fellow buffalo, the enraged leader charged towards the lions in retaliation.

The 500 kg buffalo madly used its sharp horns to ram the lion into the air and continue to attack other lions to avenge the killed fellow.

The lions were surprised by the fierce attack of the buffalo. While two members of the herd ran away, a lion still tried to fight the buffalo.

With the overwhelming number of buffalo herds, the lion was finally forced to flee. The lion lifted his tail and ran away with the wild buffalo chasing him behind.
