The singer who had a feud with Cameron Diaz was reportedly paid between $1 million to $1.5 million just to perform three songs on the private event that was organized by the China National Petroleum Corp. Now. The singer’s performance included at least six back up dancers and numerous costume changes.
The said performance ended in a controversy after she apparently sang a ‘Happy Birthday’ song for the Turkmenistan’s President, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. At the time, the President had some abuse accusations after committing human rights abuse during the time he was ruling over the nation.

Medina told TMZ, “Lopez sang 3 songs, and Medina says as she finished her set someone walked up to him and said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow was in the audience and asked him if Lopez would come back on stage and wish him happy birthday.”

The said event was a joint birthday party for the Russian billionaire and his beloved wife former model Aleksandra Nikolic Melnichenko.
It was also reported that the Russian billionaire personally chose Jennifer Lopez and commissioned her for a performance on the birthday party. Just like her Macau birthday set, the singer performed for only 40 minutes with the setlist that included the singer’s biggest hits such as Jenny From The Block.
Aside from the remarkably high performance salary of Jennifer Lopez, Andrei Melnichenko incurred more expenses on bringing her in. The Russian Billionaire spent another $800,000 just to fly the singer and her whole entourage from the United States to the 27-acre estate in Surrey of Melnichenko. The singer arrived at the event with her then husband Marc Anthony.
The whole entourage of Jennifer Lopez stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in London. When asked for a comment, the spokesman of Melnichenko, Brian MacLaurin, confirmed to People “I can confirm that a very high-profile American singer performed at a private party in Surrey.”
The event had over sixty guests that included the Russian and Serbian tycoons. After the extremely generous payday, the singer apparently spent the next few hours shopping with her husband along the streets of London. It was also reported that Melnichenko also paid millions in exchange for three songs to Christina Aguilera. The singer who often wore risky outfits received $3.6 million in exchange for singing three songs at the wedding of Andrei and Aleksandra. The singer was apparently at the wedding with prominent singers Whitney Houston, Julio Iglesias and his son Enrique.
The wedding was held in the South of France and the billionaire flew Christina Aguilera and her team from the United States through a private jet. The wedding ceremony took place in Antibes and Aguilera was accompanied by her then fiancé Jordan Bratman.
According to the wedding guest, “Christina did a brilliant job. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when she sang ‘Beautiful’. But no one suspected how much she’d been paid – it’s like winning the lottery for her.”
