One Piece fans are well aware that many of the series’ characters have some pretty striking designs.
One Piece is a long-running and wildly successful anime show beloved for its amazing adventures, interesting universe, and diverse ensemble of characters. One Piece has been running for nearly 20 years, and in that time it has introduced a vast cast of characters, all of which have their own distinct appearance and personality.
Nonetheless, some characters’ designs are more memorable than others. There is no lack of memorable characters in One Piece, from the lovable rogue Monkey D. Luffy to the mysterious shogun of Wano Kingdom, Kozuki Oden.
8Portgas D. Ace
Luffy has always seen Ace as a cool elder brother figure. He stood out due to the maturity of his look, evident from the fact that he had no shirt on most of the time.
Recognizable traits are essential in creating memorable characters. Ace’s many tattoos, a necklace of crimson beads and his signature orange-looking hat with blue happy faces is also prominent.
7Dracule “Hawkeye” Mihawk
Dracule “Hawkeye” Mihawk made his appearance to instant astonishment and amazement from fans. Evidently, Mihawk has a refined appearance, serious countenance, and outlandish style that he embodied.
His dark cap and unbuttoned black shirt effectively signaled his gothic roots to his adoring public. His eyes are effective daggers even if they have no magical connection and earn him his epithet of Hawk Eyes.
6Roronoa Zoro
Roronoa Zoro is a popular choice for cosplayers because of his prominent role in the anime. This may be owing to the fact that his ensemble, from his signature Haramaki and black headgear is a perfect blend of pirate and samurai fashions. Alternatively, it may be his greenish hair, serious face, and mysterious scar, about which members of the local community are often inquiring.
If not, it’s probably because his three-sword technique combines two fan favorites—swords and dramatic poses—into a single action. Zoro shows his true colors as he takes a blade in each hand and chomps down on another.
5Trafalgar Law
After the timeskip, Trafalgar Law’s designs are just as well-liked as they were before. Fans flocked to Law when he made a timejump because of his skinny build, tattoos, fuzzy cap, and hoodie that could have been pulled from the wardrobe of any high schooler.
Although his redesign after the timeskip doesn’t radically alter the formula (he now wears a cap instead of a hat), he has undergone several outfit modifications that better suit his personality. This contains the big, black jacket from his time-jump debut and a brand-new hoodie from the Dressrosa Arc.
4Charlotte Katakuri
In a nation known for making everything appear as bright and comical as possible, it was surprising to find someone like Charlotte Katakuri competing. Katakuri sticks out as a tall, somber man with predominantly black attire and a crisp shape, while quite a few other relatives of his are decked out in garish colors and funny features.
The gloomy glare that is the core of Katakuri’s greatest strength is highlighted by his enormous scarf, which also lends him an air of mystery. Katakuri seems much more menacing without his scarf. Viewers not only get a better look at his massive physique but also at his menacing, toothy grin.
3Donquixote Doflamingo
Doflamingo is one of the most memorable and well-liked character concepts in the whole series. He doesn’t need to exude gloom and malice to succeed as a villain. Instead, his layout works best in broad daylight. His spectacles, although fashionable, always appear to be masking a malevolent glare, and his almost perpetual grin conveys that he is a guy who likes his profession as a pirate a bit too much. He wears bright, pink hues and a big, feather coat that draws attention.
His physical stature is commensurate, but his demeanor is much more menacing. While entertaining to see from the sidelines, Doflamingo’s casual demeanor in combat is unsettling.
2Boa Hancock
Eiichiro Oda set out to make Hancock the most stunning female character in One Piece. Compared to other characters, her face has excellent proportions. Her physical appearance may alternatively be described as Amazonian.
Hancock likes to switch up her wardrobe often, but red is her go-to color. She also has snake-shaped gold earrings. She consistently finishes in the top ten in popularity ratings. Her character design is crucial.
1Crocodile
Crocodile is a sophisticated villain who fashions himself like a Mafioso. In addition to his suit jacket and slacks, he’s wearing a bulky fur coat, which perfectly compliment his personality.
The scar on his cheek and the golden hook on his left arm are what make him stand out. Just by looking at him, viewers can tell he’s a bad guy in One Piece. Crocodile’s intimidating stature makes him a formidable foe.
