Jude Bellingham is already close to signing for Real Madrid
Real Madrid won’t stop at signing Jude Bellingham this summer, with the Spanish giants also aiming to finally get their hands on Kylian Mbappe amid Paris Saint-Germain’s continued chaos
Real Madrid have grand plans to sign BOTH Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham this summer.
In what would be a remarkable – and remarkably expensive – double transfer swoop, Los Blancos have set their sights on signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe alongside their promising pursuit of Bellingham. Real remain in talks with the English teenager over a deal which is set to cost in excess of £120million, as Borussia Dortmund attempt to recoup the highest fee possible.
While that kind of significantly outlay would be enough for most elite clubs in a single transfer window, chiefs at the Bernabeu have bigger plans and want to build the next ‘Galacticos’ team with Mbappe and Bellingham as the tentpoles. Real are long-time admirers of the PSG forward, who they made a world-record £170m bid for two years ago.
Mbappe has since signed a new deal at the Parc des Princes but that hasn’t deterred strong interest from Madrid, according to a report from the Telegraph. Mbappe, 24, held talks with the reigning LaLiga and European champions before signing a contract extension which keeps him in his native Paris for one more season beyond the current campaign, plus the option of an extra year.
As has become commonplace at PSG every summer, the French club are engulfed in chaos going into the transfer window. Mbappe’s star team-mate, Lionel Messi, will leave at the end of his contract in June – an outcome which PSG had tried to avoid by offering him a lucrative new deal – and fellow famed forward Neymar has also been available for a transfer after six years in Paris.
President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and co want to build a new team around Mbappe, but he’s been less than impressed with some of the club’s recent decisions. In April, Mbappe publicly criticised PSG for using his image too prominently in their promotional material for season tickets. “I disagree with this posted video,” the France international declared. “It is certainly not Kylian Saint-Germain.”

Neverthless, Mbappe’s potential switch to Madrid is currently less likely than Bellingham’s. The 19-year-old midfielder, sought after by every top club in Europe, is understood to have decided on his next move, having spent three seasons honing his craft in Dortmund.
Premier League champions Manchester City remain in the hunt but only stand an outside chance. Bellingham has remained tight-lipped on his future, while Dortmund have reportedly offered him a bumper contract extension to stay for at least one more year.
Signing Bellingham and Mbappe would certainly set Real up for both the present and future. While ageing stars like Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema have entered the twilight of their respective glittering careers, Los Blancos already have budding young talents such as Vinicius Junior, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga to call on.
Real Madrid want to sign Mbappe along with Bellingham this summer
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Jude Bellingham this summer has been well-documented, with various reports confirming that the Borussia Dortmund midfielder is ready to join the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid have expertly moved ahead of Manchester City to secure an agreement with Bellingham, though the deal could hinge on the club finding an agreement with Borussia Dortmund as well.
Nevertheless, in the midst of speculations linking Bellingham to Santiago Bernabeu, it appears Real Madrid are eyeing another fabulous swoop this summer by targeting Kylian Mbappe, reports The Telegraph.
The report suggests Real Madrid are looking to take advantage of Paris Saint-Germain this summer and explore a move for Mbappe. They have revived their interest in the Frenchman, who was close to joining the ranks of Real Madrid last summer.
After renewing his contract with PSG, things have not gone according to plan for Mbappe. The former AS Monaco starlet has been left disappointed by the club’s lack of success in the Champions League.
There has also been discontent between the player and the board, for failing to sign a new number nine last summer.
PSG are also facing the risk of losing Messi, who is likely to move elsewhere amid interest from Barcelona and Saudi Arabian clubs. Aware of the situation, Los Blancos are prepared to inflict further pain on the Parisian club by snatching Mbappe this summer.
Given that Erling Haaland is likely to stay at Manchester City for the time being, Real Madrid could look to pull their resources for Mbappe.
The player himself could fancy a move to Santiago Bernabeu, where he would have the opportunity to become the attacking leader, alongside Vinicius Junior.
The potential combination of Vinicius and Mbappe, coupled with the presence of Karim Benzema and Bellingham in the team, could make Real Madrid arguably the strongest in Europe, thus equipping them with the resources to dominate club football in the years to come.
