Unpleasant scenes were witnessed at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on May 9 after Erling Haaland’s father, Alfie clashed with Real Madrid fans.
The senior Haaland was in the Spanish capital to watch his son and his Manchester City teammates play Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
Despite early pressure and dominance from Pep Guardiola’s team, it was the record European champions who struck first thanks to a fine belter from Vinicius Junior.
Kevin De Bruyne restored parity in the second half with an equally good shot of his own, to set up a feisty contest at the Etihad Stadium next week.
Haaland’s dull display for Man City
Haaland had a rare dull day, with the Norwegian being subdued by Madrid’s centre-back pairing of Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba. He had two flimsy shots on target on a night Guardiola elected not to use his substitutes bench.
Perhaps frustrated with the situation, Alfie Haaland was accused of insulting Real Madrid fans, with footage showing him cupping his ears towards them.
As Daily Mail reports, he was also accused of throwing food at the opposition supporters before security intervened and escorted him out of his private box.

With his son previously linked with a move to the Spanish giants, this altercation could severely dent those hopes when that time comes. This was Haaland’s first-ever game at the iconic stadium.
He will be hoping for a better outing as City hope to reach their second UCL final in history.
Aguero slams Guardiola’s UCL tactics
Sports Brief also reported on Sergio Aguero blasting Guardiola’s ‘baffling’ decisions during Man City’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid.
The Citizens took on the reigning UCL champions in a mouthwatering first-leg semi-final encounter on May 9 at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Aguero was less than impressed with a tactical move made by Guardiola during the match, with the Spaniard leaving all his subs on the bench.
