Before “quiet luxury” became popular, many brands promoted this hidden luxury fashion style.
Quiet luxury, stealth wealth or old money aesthetic are popular words used to describe a style of minimalism, elegance and secrecy.
In fact, all existed for a long time in the fashion world in various forms before becoming as popular as it is today.
From young brands to established fashion houses, this style of clothing often exudes refinement and sophistication rather than flashy pricing or design cues, says Elizabeth Layne, Rebag Marketing Manager, luxury fashion company, said.
Below, Harper’s Bazaar features prominent representatives promoting this luxurious yet unobtrusive fashion.
The Row
Founded by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen in 2011, The Row is a relatively new name in the fashion world. Even so, Layne still considers its stylish and sophisticated designs as a prime example of quiet luxury.
The way The Row approaches clothes that are supposed to be basic such as knitwear in the same color or wool pants does not feel simple.
In the summer of 2021, the brand made khaki linen pants a sought-after item thanks to its expert pleating technique.
At the same time, the fashion catwalks of The Row also showcased new pleated dresses and gorgeous coats. All of this soon became a luxurious and sophisticated item that was sought after by many fashionistas.
Objets Daso
Objets Daso, this brand new brand comes to the luxury accessories market at quite the perfect time.
Pratik Vyas and Catharine Whang, the two founders of the fashion house, both expressed an interest in quiet luxury. Both see the clear development of this trend in recent times.
Objets Daso defines its style with geometric shapes, sharp lines and inspiration from historically important women such as Na Hye-Seok, Vivian Maier and Josephine Baker.
Plus, the brand looks for subtle design cues. Wang said they produced a lot of sketches and prototypes to get the bag buckle discreet but still show the spirit and character of the brand.
Toteme
Toteme’s scarf-integrated jacket once took the social network by storm on TikTok. However, this won’t be the company’s only attention-grabbing item.
The brand says it’s always looking for ways to create a distinctive apparel signature. In addition, its products are not mass-produced or easily accessible.
Whether it’s an olive satin top or a cotton jacket, Toteme offers a chic and discreet look that goes well with many combinations.
Hunting Season
Danielle Corona, Creative Director of Hunting Season, takes the longevity of clothes very seriously. She said the company aims to produce items that users are proud to own and have the ability to pass on to future generations.
The value from each product of Hunting Season also comes from the production story behind. The brand emphasizes a blend of age-old craftsmanship and fresh updates into its bags.
Max Mara
Max Mara has long been the choice of fashionistas who do not hesitate to show their individuality.
Each of the brand’s collections sets themselves apart from the rest thanks to their precise tailoring, premium materials, and confident feel.

Savette
From Harper’s Bazaar fashion editors to Libby Page, the chief executive of leading online luxury and luxury retailer Net-a-Porter, to demanding shoppers, Savette is a brand. sustainable new, has the potential to pass on to the next generation.

Loro Piana
Elegance begins right at the selection of ingredients. We can understand this when testing products from Loro Piana. The brand is widely sought after for its careful sourcing of fabrics.
“We always want to put fabric and materials first,” says Francesco Pergamo, head of furniture at Loro Piana.
In 2023, Loro Piana decided to increase the level of traceability throughout its supply chain. Accordingly, buyers can know exactly where their clothes come from and how they are made.
Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta can hardly be missing in the list of brands that showed the impression of quiet luxury before this trend prevailed, especially in the accessories segment.
This Italian fashion house has been producing exquisite handbags made of interlocking leathers that form the signature intreccio weave since the mid-1960s.
Even in items like its minimalist teardrop earrings, there is a timeless appeal, says Layne.
Khaite
Khaite made its debut at New York Fashion Week in 2019. The brand’s reputation has grown since then. The proof is that the company attracts passionate fans throughout the fashion world and opens its first physical store in 2022.
Besides, the brand brings a distinct elegance to familiar items such as cashmere sweaters, bralettes, straight-leg denim pants or Western-style boots.
