TODD BOEHLY has failed to reassure Chelsea fans after breaking his silence on their nightmare season in a recent interview.
The club’s co-owner insisted that there is a belief that the problems will be “figured out”.

Chelsea have been underwhelming this season, as the club currently sits 12th in the Premier League.
Boehly has already been through two managers during his year-long reign, having sacked both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter.
However, there has been little improvement under interim manager Frank Lampard as the Stamford Bridge side has continued to slide down the table.
This has all happened despite a massive investment into the playing squad, which has seen high transfer fees and long contracts handed to players that are yet to do the business on the pitch.
There has also been chaos off the pitch as players were alleged to be arguing with each other on the bench during this week’s defeat to Arsenal.
Boehly has argued that they “want to win” and that the process is part of a “long-term project”.
He said on Sky Sports: “The fans are demanding.
“You know they want to win and we get that we want to win so you know, I think our view though was that this is a long-term project and you know we’re committed to the long-term.
“We very much believe that we’re going to figure it out.
“We’ve got the best league in the world, we’ve got what I think is the top city in the world and we’ve got an unbelievable location in the top city in the world.”
However, this has failed to inspire fans on social media.
One disgruntled Chelsea fan tweeted: “‘We’ll figure it out’. I’ve never been so reassured.”
A second commented: “He knows nothing about football, he’s just a businessman who puts money in a club to have fun… But this club is Chelsea, which is not a toy!”
A third wrote: “It’s the short-term I’m worried about.”
A fourth said: “Long-term but sacks Potter after a few months, what a joke this man is.”
‘A MESS FROM DAY ONE’
Former Manchester United star and pundit Gary Neville has claimed that Chelsea’s issues on the pitch have come “from the top” as he slammed the way the club has been run recently.
He said on Sky Sports: “It all comes from the top. It’s been a mess from day one. Todd Boehly is a nightmare, he’s completely mis-read this league.
“What’s happened this season is purely down to him.
“He’s the non-footballing department, so he needs to stay where he is and let the footballing people run their department.
“They’re a laughing stock, the whole thing has been a shambles.”
However, Neville did claim that if Boehly gets the next managerial appointment right then they could return to be challengers.
He added: “I do think if they can get Mauricio Pochettino they can be moulded into a top four team and challenge for trophies next season.
“I think they can make a real challenge next season and people might think I’m mad.”
Pochettino is thought to be the frontrunner for the job following Julian Nagelsmann’s withdrawal from the race.
