Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s three daughters had no idea “aunt” Taylor Swift was a celebrity.
The “Deadpool” actor, 46, appeared on “The Jess Cagle Show” Monday, where he explained that, “just like the rest of the world,” listening to Swift’s music is “like a religion” in their home.
However, before their daughters — James, 7, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3 — knew Swift as one of the most popular singers in the industry, “they just thought Taylor’s just like an aunt, like a friend of Mommy and Daddy that’s very, very close, almost family.”
“And then they went to a concert one day and were like, ‘Ohhhhh, this isn’t a hobby,’” he recounted.
Lively and Reynolds — who are expecting their fourth child — became close friends with the Grammy-winning singer back in 2015.
In fact, the couple is so close to the singer that people believe Swift revealed what they plan to name their fourth child in “Midnights.”
In the song “You’re On Your Own Kid,” the singer mentions the name “Daisy May,” which many believe is a nod to her friendship with Lively, 35, and Reynolds.
This wouldn’t be the first time Swift has name-dropped the couple’s children in her songs. She mentioned all of their names in her album “Folklore” and even included a voice recording of James at the beginning of her song “Gorgeous.”
However, the A-list couple doesn’t seem to mind Swift using their daughters for inspiration.
Reynolds said in a 2021 interview on SiriusXM, “The names are the names of our kids. We trust her implicitly. She’s very sensitive to any of that stuff. And, obviously, the song has nothing to do with our kids other than our kids’ names. But I mean, what an honor.”
Although the twosome “don’t know” the sex of their future child, it’s bound to be a “Swiftie,” nonetheless.
