The hunt for the next James Bond has begun. The last actor to play the role of James Bond was Daniel Craig, he played the role of the British Secret Service agent in five movies, Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021). The movies were a massive hit and fans loved Craig’s performance.
Now, since the actor has left behind his James Bond days, the creators are looking for a new actor who can play the part accurately. A James Bond casting director, who has selected actors in the past, previously shut down rumors about Dwayne Johnson playing the role.

A James Bond casting director, Debbie McWilliams, has previously shut down rumors that claimed that actor Dwayne Johnson will be playing the role of James Bond in the next movie,
“He has to look like a regular guy – you can’t be Dwayne Johnson. He has to have a great physique – it demands a high level of fitness – but he shouldn’t stand out in any situation.”
In the past, McWilliams has helped in choosing the perfect James Bond, as she selected Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. Now, several actors have been linked to the role including, Henry Cavill and Regé-Jean Page.

After Daniel Craig left the franchise in 2021, fans have been wondering who will play the next James Bond. McWilliams also acknowledged those questions also adding what they are looking for,
“There isn’t an absolute ideal mold. There never would be and never should be, because otherwise, it just becomes boring. It’s the best person for the job and one year it might be one person, one year somebody else – you can’t really predict,” adding, “There’s no conversation being had at the moment. Barbara Broccoli has been heavily involved in other projects. You know, it’s not unusual for there to be quite a big gap between different Bonds, it has been known to have a five-year gap. So, no, nothing.”
Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson will officially select the actor but as per sources, they are currently occupied with other things. So, as of now, the decision is on hold.

Recently, a picture was circulating on social media made on DeepDream AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) tool. The image was of the perfect James Bond, based on the characteristics listed by Barbara Broccoli.
They are basically looking for a British male who is taller than 5ft 10in and has to be in his thirties. Broccoli also hinted that they won’t necessarily hire a well-known name,
“The gift of casting a James Bond film… is you don’t need to cast a well-known name.”
Daniel Craig played the role in five James Bond movies, Casino Royale (2006), Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021). His performance was so good that the expectations are quite high.
