Erling Haaland was back on target for Manchester City put Southampton to the sword on the South Coast – but fans were distracted by his long blonde luscious locks
Manchester City fans have begged Erling Haaland to sign for a shampoo brand after he let down his luscious locks on Saturday evening.
The big Norwegian was back up to his usual tricks against Southampton – netting twice, including a jaw-dropping bicycle kick. And as he walked down the tunnel at half-time, Haaland channelled his inner viking by taking out his hair bobble.
And fans couldn’t get enough of his long blonde hair on Twitter – with some fans joking he should sign a sponsorship deal with a shampoo brand. One fan joked: “Someone needs to get Haaland in a hair advert/sponsorship. The man has incredible hair!”
“Haaland is after a sponsorship deal with Timotei with that half-time shaking of the hair,” a second added. While a third tweeted: “Haaland’s hair is so majestic!”
“Never seen Haaland with his hair down! The way he tossed his hair then lol he should be on adverts for shampoo,” a fourth joked. While another added: “OMG…Norse Rapunzel!”
And another added: “Can someone please morph that half-time Haaland hair shake out into a slow-mo like Denise Richards in Friends!”
If Haaland was to land a sponsorship deal with a shampoo brand – he wouldn’t be the first City player to sing with haircare. Joe Hart infamously starred as the face of Head and Shoulder’s advertising in the early 2010s.
The brand deal culminated with Hart starring in their TV advert, where he was ‘injured’ and had to be treated for a ‘flaky scalp’ before returning to the pitch to save the winning penalty.
During Stoke City’s 2-0 win over City in 2015, the Stoke faithful serenaded Hart with chants of “Joe Hart, he’s got a flaky scalp!”
