Does Jennifer Lopez’s aged skin show signs of age? Real skin revealed after she believes olive oil for perfect skin
his post has been updated since it was originally published to include recent facts
Jennifer Lopez may have just accidentally revealed her real skin texture with the world! The 53-year-old Shotgun Wedding actress’s real skin may have been exposed in a TikTok video she filmed to promote a new sports drink (does she *ever* stop working?!) due to a small but very noticeable glitch in the filter she was using. And eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot it!
Fans Spot Jennifer Lopez’s Real Skin Texture Thanks To TikTok Glitch
The advert the Marry Me actress filmed shows her wearing a Barbiecore pink top while holding the Bodyarmor sports drink and saying, “Tell me you go to the gym without telling me you go to the gym. I’ll go first.” Her phone camera appears to be very close to her face, but she then leans in even closer for a brief millisecond, which is when the filter she appears to be using stops working, which then causes her to immediately step back so the filter works again.
She can then be seen showing off her toned and enviable body as the camera pans out and flexing her insane arm muscles! Wow! However, it wasn’t her body that got the most attention, especially in a separate TikTok video posted by an account called @needthedeets, which shows just the beginning of the advert in more zoomed in detail to highlight her real skin exposed by the glitch. The video is captioned: “Wait for the filter to fall off to see J-Lo’s real skin texture.” And as expected, there was a *lot* of talk in the comments section!
“She snapped back real quick once she realized,” one fan wrote in the comments, which another echoed, writing, “The way she jumps back when she realized.” While many, *many* fans still praised her for looking “flawless” without the filter, a few others thought it was “wrong” of her to use them because she claims her smooth skin is down to things like her JLo Beauty range. “Y’all she sells skincare of course it’s wrong to use filters,” said another fan.
“She’s selling this perfect skin and it’s filtered to blur the skin to make it look younger. She’s telling a half-truth,” added another, while another referenced the fact that J-Lo has also been crediting olive oil for her flawless skin for years, saying, “When she tells everyone it’s olive oil and it’s really a filter,” followed by an eye rolling emoji and a crying laughing emoji. “It’s olive oil,” agreed another, followed by the same crying laughing emoji.
However, we don’t know just how much J-Lo wants to actually hide her real skin from her fans, as there were two versions of the ad on TikTok and Instagram, both with a filter and without a filter; and we can’t imagine J-Lo would have signed off on the unfiltered version being shown if she had something to hide. To quote some of the more positive fan comments, “she still looks amazing” and “she’s beautiful!”

J-Lo’s appearance has been a hot topic of conversation for years, as the internet struggles to comprehend what her secret to looking so flawless at 53 is. Many people have speculated that perhaps the “On The Floor” singer wasn’t telling the whole truth about the cosmetic procedures she has and hasn’t had done (FYI, she is still denying ever having Botox, and is still crediting olive oil for her airbrushed complexion) but now many people are wondering whether we aren’t getting the full picture, and on closer inspection, perhaps J-Lo is ever so slightly just like the rest of us. Let us go into more detail!
Over the past few years, many social media accounts have compared the “On My Way” singer’s face as it appears in edited images to unedited pap photos and close-ups. And although we would still give anything to look like the Hustlers star in her unedited and unfiltered pictures, it’s clear to see that the fine lines and wrinkles we would expect from someone in their early fifties are actually there. And her skin isn’t as airbrushed as it appears in *actually airbrushed* pictures, as we can see pores and actual signs of skin looking like skin! Who would have thunk it?! Is all right with the world again?
Jennifer Lopez Before And After Pictures
Perhaps the most telling sign of the “Pa’ Ti” singer seriously editing her pictures to give herself a smooth and flawless face is the difference between side by side pictures of the same look; one showing J-Lo’s ‘real face’ versus the edited one she put online, as helpfully posted by Instagram account, @truthaboutfaves. The first unedited picture (which is still pretty flawless if we are being totally honest) shows a few faint lines on the “In The Morning” singer’s forehead, and very obvious creasing under both of her eyelids. She also has laughter lines, and her neck appears to have a few wrinkles, as we would expect from a woman in her fifties.
The picture on the right, however, features none of these things, as everything has been blurred to within an inch of its life. The editing also enhanced the JLo Beauty founder’s makeup, making her contour appear brighter and more distinctive, and her eye makeup and lips appear bolder and more defined. And if we’re not mistaken, Mrs Affleck’s already perfect nose appears to have been slimmed down in the edited picture.

Despite the obvious changes in the before and after side by side pictures, J-Lo’s fans were still unanimously in agreement that she looks incredible in the unfiltered pictures. “She’s still so beautiful,” wrote one fan, followed by a heart eyes emoji. “Man she looks stunning in the real life ones. Imagine being that hot at that age. Goals,” wrote another J-Lo stan.
Another quite rightly said that we are all guilty of the odd touch up before posting that social media picture, confessing, “I mean we all blur the lines a little,” and adding, “She is still stunning.” No arguments there! “She probably looks better than most of us in an untouched close up. she is aging beautifully,” commented another fan, and once again, we are inclined to agree
