Paris Saint Germain defender Sergio Ramos is reportedly the subject of an eye-watering contract offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.

After spending 15 trophy-laden years at Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid, Ramos moved to French side PSG on a free transfer back in 2021.

Despite being at the age of 37, Ramos is still highly regarded and is now attracting offers from the Middle East.

According to French news outlet L’Equipe, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal are ready to offer Ramos a two-year deal.

It has been reported that Al Hilal are willing to offer Ramos a net salary of €30 million (£26.4m) per year, which is almost four times the reported wage he takes home at PSG.

Al Hilal are currently sitting in fourth position in the Saudi Professional League and they will be taking on Al Khaleej on Saturday.

However, it has been claimed by Sportsmail that Ramos was in favour of staying with the Parc des Princes club and that PSG are wanting to keep hold of the Spaniard.

The club also reportedly favourites to sign Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar on a free transfer come the end of the season.

PSG have been fined after breaking Financial Fair Play rules, which means that the club could look at ways to slash their financial output.

To do this, they could be tempted to let the likes of Ramos and fellow big-earner Lionel Messi go.

Messi’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the 22/23 season and to date, no new agreement has been agreed between the player and the club.

Ramos himself recently spoke about Messi, he told PSG TV: “There was suffering for several years playing against Messi.

“I am now enjoying him. He is the best player football has ever produced.”

PSG will look to continue the defence of their Ligue 1 crown this weekend with a win against Lyon on Sunday.
