In the 2020 documentary Miss Americana, Taylor Swift discussed her battle with an eating disorder. After seeing a clip on TikTok, Lady Gaga praised her for speaking out.
Another reason to love Lady Gaga?
While fans already have a long list of things they adore about the singer, she gave them another when showing her support for Taylor Swift speaking out about her battle with an eating disorder in a resurfaced clip from the 2020 documentary Miss Americana.
“That’s really brave everything you said,” Gaga wrote underneath a TikTok featuring footage from the documentary, “wow.”
And social media users appreciated the gesture from the Oscar winner, who has been open about her own history with an eating disorder. “Queen supporting Queen,” one commenter wrote, “we love to see it.” Added another, “Love the support between two amazing women.”
Although, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to their followers. After all, Gaga has praised Swift before. In 2020, for instance, Gaga applauded Swift’s performance of “Soon You’ll Get Better,” a song about her mom Andrea’s cancer battle, at Global Citizen’s One World: Together at Home televised event.
“This is so beautiful, Taylor,” she said in a social media video reshared by Entertainment Tonight. “Thank you for sharing this vulnerable moment with us. You’re really, really even so much braver in this moment. Thank you. Thank you for doing this for us.”

And the love is definitely mutual. In fact, the “Anti-Hero” singer even presented Gaga with the Best Song in a Motion Picture Golden Globe for “Shallow,” from A Star Is Born, in 2019.
“When people think she’s gonna go one way, she goes the exact opposite,” Swift said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that year. “She did that Tony Bennett record and won a Grammy. And then she pivots and goes and wins a Golden Globe for American Horror Story: Hotel. And then she pivots and does Joanne. And then she pivots and wins an Oscar for A Star Is Born. That’s so cool, that ability to be so capable in so many different worlds. There’s so much dexterity to her career.”
