Kanye West shared his new appreciation for Jewish people on Instagram after watching Jonah Hill in the 2012 movie 21 Jump Street with a post on March 25.
YE’S NEWFOUND APPRECIATION FOR THE JEWISH COMMUNITY
According to sources, West previously made comments perceived as anti-Semitic in October 2022. However, after viewing Hill’s performance, he had a change of heart.
“Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street made me like Jewish people again”. West wrote in his caption.
Hill has not responded to West’s comments about him.
It is unclear what part of Hill’s portrayal resonated with West, but insiders say he has spoken positively about Jewish culture in recent conversations. Some hope this marks a turning point for West’s views on the Jewish community.
During West’s Twitter rant in October 2022, he also announced that he would run for president in 2024.
West’s comments about Jewish people caused him to be dropped from business partnerships such as Balenciaga and Adidas.
