Ever since he made the decision to join the Golden State Warriors in 2016, Kevin Durant has had to face a whole lot of criticism, especially from former players.
Charles Barkley has been one of his more vocal critics and he took yet another shot at Durant recently, but a fan came to KD’s defense.

Durant certainly seemed to agree, as he liked the tweet.
Durant also fired back at Barkley, stating he would never respect the words that come out of the Hall of Famers mouth. KD also wondered if Barkley isn’t tired of saying this over and over and he is right there. Chuck has brought this up so many times at this point and you can’t expect Durant to not be annoyed. As the fan says too, former players have taken so many shots at today’s players and you can’t blame them for responding.
KD and Barkley’s relationship has really deteriorated now and Durant has fired back at Sir Charles numerous times in just this month alone. Durant ripped him for the ‘bus driver’ analogy and said he doesn’t need any credit from the likes of Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal.

Durant can say he doesn’t care about it, but a part of him surely does. So, how can he earn that credit? Well, Barkley says the way to earn it, is to win a title with the Phoenix Suns. The Suns imploded in the playoffs last season and if Durant is able to lead them to their first-ever title, then he would gain a lot of respect.
KD got off to a fabulous start as a member of the Suns, as he won his first three games while averaging 26.7 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 3.7 APG. He suffered a freak injury after that though, but could finally return this week when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Suns, despite going 3-6 in his absence, are still somehow the fourth seed with a 39-35 record and will be hoping to finish there come the end of the season.
