It means he will now earn an eye-watering £200,000-a-week at the Etihad – more than treble his previous wage packet of £60,000.
And Foden took the time to revel in his new contract by heading out for a plush meal with long-time partner Rebecca.
But not before the Man City star appeared to agree to a picture with a fan before heading into the restaurant.
He then waltzed in with Rebecca and one of their children who was tucked up in a pram.
The pair have been together since they were teenagers.
In January 2019, at the age of 18, Rebecca gave birth to their son, Ronnie.
Then in In April 2021, the couple announced they were expecting their second child.
And Rebecca gave birth to their daughter later in 2021 as they welcomed another member of their young family.
The mother of Foden’s two kids tends to keep out of the spotlight and has her Instagram account currently set private.
Meanwhile, Foden, who has already won 11 major trophies with Man City, was thrilled after agreeing a new deal with the club.
He said: “It’s such an easy thing to say but there’s a lot more to come.
“I’ve a determination to always want to win and I think I’ve always been like that since I was young. Anything I play in I want to win.
“I feel like I can add a lot more goals and hopefully this season I’m seemingly doing that so hopefully I can keep going down that road.
“It’s hard to put into words how happy I am to sign the contract. It’s an extremely proud day for me and my family but it was such an easy decision.”
Foden has made a sensational start to the season, scoring seven goals in 14 appearances.
But he could not help City avoid a first defeat of the campaign on Sunday as Liverpool beat them 1-0 at Anfield.
The result leaves Pep Guardiola’s men four points adrift of table toppers Arsenal.
