Incoming Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has developed into a monster in front of goal thanks to an incredible body transformation in the last couple of years
Erling Haaland underwent an insane body transformation in recent years to become a goalscoring king.
The Norwegian striker is set to join Manchester City this summer after the Premier League champions confirmed on Tuesday that they have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the 21-year-old. City have triggered Haaland’s £51million release clause in order to add the clinical centre forward to their attack next season.
Haaland has scored a staggering 28 goals in 29 matches this season and has put his prolific goalscoring talents down to his insane body transformation across the last few seasons at Dortmund and Red Bull Salzburg.
Speaking to AS, he explained: “If you look at my body, if you look at my legs, you will see that I have changed a lot. I am completely different. I have become a real man. Besides everything, I have become faster.
“That is one of the most important things. I have gone from 86 kilos to 94 (1.25 stone), but it is not a beer belly, it is about gross muscle mass. I take great care of what I eat.”

His former coach Erase Steenslid also once explained that Haaland benefits from “privileged genetics” and claimed the striker once gained 26lbs of pure muscle in the space of just 15 months.
“His body responds so well to training because his genetics are privileged,” Steenslid told AS. “He gained twelve kilos of muscle in fifteen months. It was crazy. We built his muscle from scratch. He was always the closest to the buffet and his plate was literally a mountain of food.”

Having arrived at Dortmund in January 2020, Haaland has since broken the Bundesliga speed record after being recorded sprinting at a speed of 22.39 miles per hour in a match against Stuttgart.
He also held the world standing long jump record for five-year-olds during his childhood, breaking the record by jumping 1.63 metres on January 22 2006.
Following his body transformation, Haaland has developed into an animal in front of goal, scoring 29 goals in 27 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg prior to his move to Dortmund.
Since arriving in Germany, he has gone on to score 85 goals in 88 matches for Dortmund, including 28 in 29 appearances this season despite injuries disrupting his campaign.
