The Lisbon City Council, which forced the Portuguese to tear down a glass canopy on his terrace due to lack of licenses, has an update.
Things may not be going so great for him on the pitch right now, but Cristiano Ronaldo has received some exciting news regarding one of his prized real estate assets in Lisbon. The Al Nassr footballer has been informed that he can now renovate the terrace of his apartment after a prolonged disagreement with the Lisbon City Council. The council had requested two years ago that Ronaldo remove a glass canopy that he had built without proper authorization.
Ronaldo gets shade
The former player of Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United, among others, can now construct a “shade pergola” in his apartment, which is valued at $7.2 million, as reported by the local newspaper Ao Minuto. This dispute with the Lisbon City Council dates back to 2021 when Georgina shared a video of the terrace publicly, leading to the council requesting its removal since it did not comply with the original infrastructure project.
According to architect and designer of the apartment, José Mateu, the City Council’s decision was a “lack of respect” towards his creation. The Council expressed that the glass canopy on the terrace went against the final specifications of the project approved by the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa for the building, therefore, constituting an alleged urban illegality.
Cristiano’s rooms with amazing views
This penthouse, spanning about 300 square meters, is situated in one of the most bustling locations in the Portuguese capital. Specifically, it is located on Rua Castilho, in close proximity to the well-known Avenida Da Liberdade, one of the most expensive areas in Lisbon.
Moreover, this exclusive space boasts all kinds of comforts and amenities, such as a spa, cinema room, and indoor pool, among other notable features. Notably, the terrace offers stunning views of the Tagus River.
