Kevin Durant has spent the last few seasons of his career as one of the most injury-prone players in the league.
It all started with his final game for the Golden State Warriors, which saw him tear his Achilles. KD has never been healthy to play in Golden State since and Steve Kerr called that fact ‘nuts.’
Kerr said "it's nuts" that KD has yet to play in front of Warriors fans since his departure. "We've always anticipated his return and we've always had a planned welcome back video to thank him for everything he did for this franchise and literally every game something comes up."

The 2019-20 season saw KD spend the entire season recovering from his injury. Untimely knee injuries in the 20-21 and 21-22 seasons also led to him not traveling to Golden State for the one game every season that the Nets played there.
He won’t be playing in the Chase Center this season either, as the Warriors host his new team in the Phoenix Suns tonight as KD recovers from a freak injury.
Will Durant Play In Golden State Again?
KD’s injury luck has clearly been rotten. Whenever he does end up playing in front of the Golden State fans, he will get a tribute video for his 2 championships with the team and the extreme success they enjoyed together. With the Phoenix Suns playing Golden State multiple times every season, KD will get more opportunities to travel to the Bay Area and play against his former team.
Since Durant last played in Golden State, the team switched arenas from the iconic Oracle Arena to the new Chase Center. They’ve already brought a title to the Chase Center, so Kevin Durant will definitely come in and be motivated to show this new generation of Warrior fans the extent of his talents and abilities.
There’s a small chance we don’t see Durant in the regular season again this year. The entire league will be praying next season as the Phoenix Suns will be terrifying after they get an offseason to build around their new core of KD, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton.
