Antony sends a touching message to Casemiro

After MU’s 0-0 draw against Southampton, winger Antony sent an emotional letter to Casemiro, who had to receive a red card.

MU entered the game well against Southampton, but when they were playing well, they lost people. In the 34th minute, midfielder Casemiro received a red card directly. The player born in 1992 had a rather dangerous tackle with Alcaraz, although the goal was only to block the ball, but hit the opponent’s foot.

Referee Anthony Taylor initially only showed a yellow card, but after reviewing the slow-motion video, he changed Casemiro’s penalty from yellow card to red card. Casemiro looked disgusted with this decision. He appeared to be crying and needed Antony’s comfort before leaving the field.

After encouraging teammates on the field, Antony also took to his personal page to comfort the Brazilian player. He wrote: “We will always be together. Hold your head up, we have a lot of games ahead of us.”

Having to play with 10 people, MU was unable to win. The 0-0 draw did not affect the Reds’ third place, but they let Tottenham and Newcastle close the gap in terms of points.

Casemiro’s suspension will not affect next week’s Europa League game, so he will start in the second leg of the round of 16 against Real Betis.

However, the Brazilian will miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Fulham as well as Premier League matches against Newcastle United, Brentford and Everton.
