Margot Robbie solidified her reputation as one of Hollywood’s most glamorous actresses as she arrived at the Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday night.
And while the Babylon star was a picture of elegance on the red carpet, a small detail on her face serves as a reminder of her wilder years.
A closer look at the 32-year-old’s near-flawless visage shows she has a small scar on her nostril from where she used to have a stud piercing in her teens and twenties.
Margot, who began her career on Australian soap opera Neighbours before her big break in The Wolf of Wall Street, removed the stud about 13 years ago, just as her star was starting to rise in Hollywood.
Margot previously revealed she decided to get her nose pierced as a teenager while she was ‘drunk’ on a school trip to Italy.
‘If I’d known then that I was one day going to be an actor I definitely would not have got my nose pierced,’ she told her mother Sarie Kessler during an interview published in Australian Vogue in 2019.
‘It’s so annoying; I see the nose ring hole all the time on screen and I always think of that time I was a drunk stupid teenager in Italy thinking it would be hilarious to get my nose pierced,’ she added.
Margot, who boasts several tattoos on her feet and ankle, previously detailed her love for body modifications in 2016, telling Vogue: ‘I have a bit of a morbid fascination with needles.
‘There’ve been a few instances when I’ve given piercings.’
Despite her regrets, Margot still looked a million bucks as she walked down the Golden Globes red carpet in a dazzling halterneck gown by Chanel.
The soft pink dress featured a ruffled hem and extra sparkle came in the form of a diamond broach pinned to the bodice.
Margot’s choice of pink appears to be an homage to her upcoming role as Barbie in the upcoming Greta Gerwig comedy.
