Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has revealed his plans for post-retirement life, as part of a new feature for the Premier League.
The Norway international has been thriving during the early stages of his career, and despite arriving in the Premier League at just 22 years-old, Haaland has taken the competition by storm during the first-half of the ongoing campaign.
The former RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund frontman has registered a staggering 26 goals in just 23 Premier League appearances so far for Manchester City, as the reigning Champions look to win the league title for a third consecutive season.
But while Haaland is consistently going from strength to strength with each passing gameweek, such is the ambitious nature of the player that he already has one eye on what life may look like for him away from the football pitch following retirement.
Speaking to the Premier League as part of a new feature, Erling Haaland was asked whether he could take up farming once his playing days are over, to which he responded, “I think I will, yeah. Just a couple (of cows).”
The Manchester City striker also shone light on what his favourite nickname is for himself, amid various names circulating on social media and throughout the City Football Academy training base.
Haaland’s answer was simple as he revealed, “I like (being called) ‘The Terminator’, it’s nice. It fits me well, I think.”
Manchester City will be hoping Haaland can help drive them towards another Premier League win this weekend, as Pep Guardiola and his players’ quick turnaround following Champions League exploits in Germany takes them to Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
City’s last-16 first-leg tie against RB Leipzig showed plenty of promise in favour of the Etihad club, as Riyad Mahrez put them into a lead during a dominant first-half showing at the Red Bull Arena.
However, the Bundesliga side came out fighting in the second-half and bagged an equaliser through Josko Gvardiol – meaning it is still all to play for when the second-leg comes around at the Etihad Stadium in two weeks time.
